Sources disagree: Sprouts' FAQ says the store cannot accept EBT Cash. One entry limits that to online orders and another does not say. Check with the store if you want to use EBT Cash in person.

OnlineYesSprouts says customers can pay for online orders with a valid EBT card. You also need a credit or debit card on your account for fees, taxes, tips, bottle deposits in some states, and non-SNAP items. Sprouts says it does not accept EBT Cash for online orders.[2]
PickupYesSprouts accepts SNAP EBT for pickup orders. Its 2022 announcement said EBT worked for same-day delivery and curbside pickup through Instacart, and its FAQ now covers EBT for pickup and delivery orders in its own app and website.[3]

Good to know

  • If a shopper has to adjust an item sold by weight, such as meat or produce, your EBT card pays the first 10% of the extra cost and your credit or debit card pays the rest. Only one EBT card can be saved per Sprouts account. [2]
