Kroger's current SNAP FAQ covers online orders only and has no in-store section, so this is the company's own general statement, not a store-by-store list. SNAP authorization is set per store, so check your store if you are unsure. Pharmacy, fuel and other in-store counters are not covered by this source.

OnlineYesKroger takes SNAP EBT for online orders on Kroger.com and in the Kroger app. Add the EBT card at checkout or save it in your Kroger wallet. A credit or debit card is also required as a backup, because SNAP is authorized only for the checkout amount and the backup card covers any higher final total from substitutions, weighted items or added items. SNAP EBT is not supported for ship orders.[2]
PickupYesSNAP EBT can pay for pickup orders, but payment is made online. Kroger's FAQ says it no longer accepts SNAP EBT at curbside.

Sources disagree: Older Kroger help pages still say to swipe your EBT card when you arrive for pickup, and some say pickup excludes Mariano's. Kroger's current SNAP FAQ says curbside EBT payment is no longer accepted, so we follow the FAQ. Pickup availability varies by location.

  • Only items that meet USDA SNAP eligibility qualify. WIC cannot be used for pickup or delivery orders. Refunds and exchanges are available. App users may need to update their device software to pay with SNAP EBT. [2]
