| Online | No | EBT is not on Costco's list of payment methods for Costco.com. The same list includes EBT cards for U.S. warehouse locations. Costco's Same-Day delivery, which Instacart runs, is separate and does accept EBT. | [3] |

| Delivery | Yes | Costco's Same-Day delivery service, which is run by Instacart, lets you pay for EBT-eligible items with an EBT SNAP card. You must also add a credit or debit card to cover bottle deposits, taxes, tips and any items EBT cannot buy. Refunds and returns for online EBT orders go through Instacart's support, not Costco. | [2] |
| Cafe / food court | Not yet verified | We have not verified this against a primary source yet. | |
| Hot prepared food | No | On Same-Day orders, Costco's page says EBT cannot buy hot foods or prepared foods fit for immediate consumption. It also excludes items with a Supplement Facts label, alcohol, pet food, paper goods and other non-food items. | [2] |
Good to know
- Costco's Member Privileges and Conditions page lists the payment methods accepted at warehouses (it includes EBT) and separately at Costco Gas Stations and Car Washes, where EBT is not listed. SNAP does not cover fuel in any case. [4]
